Pacific Spirit is 747‘s first new album since 2019, and marks a step away from the acid techno sound he’s become known for over the last decade.
An ode to Ryan Chan aka 747’s hometown of Vancouver in Canada, it explores a new combination of jungle and breakbeats with 90s trance influences and the 303. Its artwork is equally revolutionary, too. Rather than just a single image, each vinyl record in the limited 300 edition run will feature a unique visual output from an algorithmic art series by label owner Emily Nicoll and 747, in collaboration with code-based art house Art Blocks.
With the kind permission of Chan, we’re able to bring you ‘Lost Lagoon’ from the LP in full right now, ahead of Pacific Spirit‘s release on July 25.
